PLUTO

Residing on Tongva Land, TanyaMarck Oviedo (they/them) is a  two spirit, nonbinary, queer, native indigenous person of color and has been a person in recovery since 1989. As an embodied practitioner, medicine person, witch, educator and mentor, they share over 3 decades of care-centric experience and magic via space holding, circle facilitation, mentoring, and community service work.  They maintain credentials, certificates, and training in ways that align and expand their practices and amplify their offerings.

TanyaMarck and Pluto (very magical medicine dog) are the founders of Vamonos Wellness, a healing arts and care practice that’s deeply rooted in curanderismo and community service. Vamonos prioritizes accessible support and care for marginalized communities.

Vamonos shines a trauma mindful light on the medicines and energies of:  substance overuse/misuse, facilitator abuse, psychedelics in recovery, harm reduction/education,  psychedelic integration/support/safety, and gender identity.

Vamonos spotlights equitable and accessible care for all AND values the work of facilitators and guides via equitable energy exchange (honorable pay).

My current ebb~n~flow of care includes: breathwork, movement, prayer/meditation, energy mindfulness, scribin’, ritual, witchcraft, tarot/astrology, music/voice/dance, kundalini activation process (KAP), akashic records, reiki, moon circles, ceremony, bipoc circles, queer circles, joy/pleasure/fun, connecting with food/elements/nature/animals, consistent connections with mentors & elders, being of service, therapy, and the cultivation of aligned community & connections.

About TANYAMARCK

about vamonos

In 2010, a therapist asked me upon leaving my final session if they could leave me with something to explore. I smiled and responded ‘for sure.’ They smiled while delivering the ‘what would your life look like and who would you be if you disconnected from the systems you have been a part of since birth’ speech. I felt my response in my body first. It was as though this invitation activated something in me that had been calling for my attention.

A short time later, I was invited to train and ride a bicycle from San Francisco to Los Angeles (AIDS/LifeCylce 2012 - 545 miles). I believe my openness, willingness, and ‘yes’ to both of these invitations came with much much more than I could have ever imagined.

fast forward…

One evening during the fall of 2017, on my drive home, I was called to reach out to a dear mentor who just so happened to pop onto my radar. She answered half way through the first ring. After some joyful catching up, she asked what inspired me to reach out. I shared with her about that therapy session and the bike ride and all of the stuff in between. Upon finishing, all I could hear was her smile and laughter. And I said, 'whatttt? what’s up?’ And she responded: ‘well, are you willing to find out?’ My response infused with laughter = vamonos. And she told me she had been waiting for me to reach out in this capacity so we could work together.

After being raised with and among the energies of: assimilation + substance misuse/overuse + physical/emotional/spiritual harm + internal/external homophobia + neurodiversity/neurodivergence + racism/oppression + anxiety/depression; spending decades in: wellness/recovery spaces + therapy and being of service as an educator/mentor, I began to re-alchemize and reconnect to my authentic self. I embarked into deep healing journeys exploring my connections to/with indigenousness + spirit + source + elements + animals and plant medicines + energy; expanding my spiritual practices and magic while navigating living with a care toolkit and a decolonial lens. These beautiful invitations and opportunities of growth inspired me to create Vamonos Wellness, a healing arts and harm reduction practice.

Vamonos centers on equitable and accessible care for all AND  values the work of facilitators and guides via equitable energy exchange (honorable pay for their time and energy).

Our goal is to secure and obtain funding that supports the growth and sustainability of these offerings while also allowing us to expand into in person offerings AND remain free for people to join AND compensates our facilitators and guides.

I channel over 3 decades of unlearning and learning into my opportunities to be of service as an embodied practitioner, sharing what I know and inviting others to become curious + explore:
what does care feel like in your body and systems and how do you honor what feels aligned.

Let’s be in community and connect to our systems. Connect with me here or IG @tanyamarck. I am open and ready to be of service: private, group, virtual, hybrid, and in-person facilitation, guidance, mentoring, and education for individuals + couples + families + groups + organizations.

about breathwork

Breathwork is the mindful connection and exploration of your inhale and exhale while connecting to your body + systems, a concept descended from the ancient practice Pranyayama, a Sanskrit word which has been translated as ‘extension of the life force’ or ‘breath control. It is a potent tool for regulating, releasing, receiving, resetting, and grounding energies in your body + mind +spirit + systems.

Thank you for the training + certification John Paul Crimi and Faith Hunter.

about movement

Supplemented with breathwork, exploring movement in the body is a tool for regulating, releasing, receiving, resetting, and grounding energies. When we connect with our body and move, our systems also shift. Energy can be incredibly sticky and movement is a potent way to support its release.

Grateful to be trained in Yoga 200 hr YTT and social emotional wellness (SEL).

about meditation

To meditate is to focus the mind + open the heart. Invitation: to be curious and explore practices that connect you with breath, body, spirit, and being.

Thank you for the training and certification in trauma informed facilitation Aorta.
