About TANYAMARCK
about vamonos
In 2010, a therapist asked me upon leaving my final session if they could leave me with something to explore. I smiled and responded ‘for sure.’ They smiled while delivering the ‘what would your life look like and who would you be if you disconnected from the systems you have been a part of since birth’ speech. I felt my response in my body first. It was as though this invitation activated something in me that had been deeply calling for my attention.
A short time later, I was invited to train and ride a bicycle from San Francisco to Los Angeles (AIDS/LifeCylce 2012 - 545 miles). I believe my openness, willingness, and ‘yes’ to both of these invitations came with much much more than I could have ever imagined.
fast forward…
One evening during the fall of 2017, on my drive home, I was called to reach out to a dear mentor who just so happened to pop onto my radar. She answered half way through the first ring. After some joyful catching up, she asked what inspired me to reach out. I shared with her about that therapy session and the bike ride and all of the stuff in between. Upon finishing, all I could hear was her smile and laughter. And I said, 'whatttt? what’s up?’ And she responded: ‘well, are you willing to find out?’ My response infused with laughter = vamonos. And she told me she had been waiting for me to reach out in this capacity so we could work together. We spent some very deep time unlearning + learning + exploring.
I was raised with/in/among the energies of: assimilation + substance use disorder + harm/abuse/violence/IPV + internal/external homophobia + misgendering + neurodiversity/autism/adhd + racism/oppression + anxiety/depression.
I spent decades in: wellness/recovery spaces + therapy and being of service as an educator/mentor.
I began to re-alchemize and reconnect to my authentic self. I embarked into/onto deep healing journeys exploring my connections to/with my indigenousness + spirit/ source + our elements + land, planets, animals and plant medicines + energy.
These experiences expanded my spiritual/care practices, magic and renewed my care toolkit and provided with the foundation of a decolonial lens.
These beautiful invitations and opportunities of growth inspired me to create Vamonos, a healing arts and care practice.
Vamonos + Queer Spirit provide equitable and accessible care for all AND values the work of facilitators and guides.
Our goals: securing + obtaining funding that supports the growth and sustainability of our care offerings, allowing us to expand AND remain free/accessible for ALL.
I channel over 3 decades of unlearning and learning into my work with others as an embodied care practitioner; sharing what I know, what I have experienced and I invite others to become curious + explore: what can care-centric trauma mindful practices feel like our bodies, minds, spirits, and systems? How can/do we honor what feels authentically aligned.
I am open and ready to be of service: private, group, virtual, hybrid, and in-person facilitation, guidance, mentoring, and education for individuals + couples + families + groups + organizations.

breathwork
Breathwork is the mindful connection and exploration of your inhale and exhale while connecting to your body + systems, a concept descended from the ancient practice Pranayama, a Sanskrit word which has been translated as ‘extension of the life force’ or ‘breath control. It is a potent tool for regulating, releasing, receiving, resetting, and grounding energies in your body + mind +spirit + systems.
Thank you for the training + certification John Paul Crimi and Faith Hunter.
movement
Supplemented with breathwork, exploring movement in the body is a tool for regulating, releasing, receiving, resetting, and grounding energies. When we connect with our body and move, our systems also shift. Energy can be incredibly sticky and movement is a potent way to support its release.
Grateful to be trained in Yoga 200 hr YTT and social emotional wellness (SEL).
meditation
To meditate is to focus the mind + open the heart. Invitation: to be curious and explore practices that connect you with breath, body, spirit, and being.
Thank you for the training and certification in trauma informed facilitation Aorta.
practice + MAgic
Practice + Magic refers to the exploration and consistent use of self care tools and techniques that connect us with our body + systems + spirit. We can practice alone and we can practice in community.
Thank you for the training + certification in Reiki 1,2,3 Reina Prado - Healing Queen. Thank you for the training in devotional voice Lynda Arnold.
